Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator/Trainer

Institutional Training


Monitors maintenance operations and management to include records management and repair parts stockage, and provides coaching and/or opportunity training, as required.  Training specialty is automotive/hull maintenance and repair. Provides advice and assistance in reporting the status of equipment in maintenance.

A. Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Provides coaching and/or opportunity training, as required, in repair of vehicles and equipment assigned to the NGMS to enhance soldier understanding and capabilities.
  2. Provides training and assistance in a repair parts management program.
  3. Provides training and assistance in maintenance operations.
  4. Assists in development and implementation of Maintenance Training and Operations programs.
  5. Maintains and provides data for input to reports as required.
  6. Reviews technical manuals for correctness and changes
  7. Performs other mission or administrative related duties as required or assigned.

B. Supervisory Responsibilities: One Trainer, PLL/Maintenance Management; one Logistics Operation Coordinator, and one Interpreter/Translator.



A. Education Level: High School graduate; Graduate of US Military Maintenance Courses.
B. Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience in a DS/GS Maintenance Company performing maintenance on mechanized infantry and armor vehicles; has provided training and supervised soldiers in providing maintenance support.  Previous experience with MNG maintenance management and operations procedures highly desirable.
C. Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:  Knowledge of military training policies, principles and procedures; knowledge of  supervisory principles and techniques; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; be able to work effectively with foreign nationals.  Must possess a valid US driver's license.  Must be computer literate and have familiarity with Microsoft  Office Professional Software.
