Maintenance Division Operations Coordinator

Serves as the central point of contact for administrative support and operational support coordination for the Aviation Maintenance Division. Responsible directly to the Aviation Maintenance Division Deputy to ensure that all internal and external activities are coordinated, planned, conducted and executed in a timely, complete and accurate manner.

A. Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Analyzes, designs, develops, coordinates staffs and publishes plans, policies, programs and other procedural documents.
  2. Serves as the central point of contact for the administrative deliverables for personnel, time sheets and employee performance assessments and other personnel support activities.
  3. Arranges for, establishes and plans all meetings, conferences and briefing required to support the conduct of the Airfield Support Services Division.
  4. Maintains all contractor Standard Operating Procedures and Policies. Serves as the AFSS subject matter expert on Vinnell and Kingdom Standard Operating Procedures, Laws and Policies.
  5. Reviews all resumes for new hires in accordance with published job descriptions. Makes recommendations to Division Manager based on job description reviews.
  6. Coordinates with external divisions and other support activities of contractor in support of operations.
  7. Serves as the central point of contact for the consolidation of weekly and monthly activities calendars and activities reports.

B. Independence: Reports to the Maintenance Division Manager. Works within the policies and procedures of the contract.  Authority to coordinate staff functions to meet goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.


C. Supervisory Responsibilities: None


A. Education Level: Associates degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. An equivalent combination of college level course and Aviation military training and job site experience may be substituted. Graduate of Officer, Warrant Officer, or Noncommissioned Officer Advanced Course required.

B. Experience: Six years’ experience in the U.S. Army at Aviation Battalion (or Equivalent) and/or higher level in operations, training development and management desired. Minimum of two years proven ability at current jobsite desired.

C. Specific knowledge, skills, ability: Knowledge of policies, principles, and procedures of military staff organization and operations.  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.  Ability to deal effectively with people in the interaction and coordination of staff.  Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.  Knowledge of pertinent KSA (Labor Law), SANG and OPM-SANG operational procedures concerning job related activities desired.  Proficient in MS Office Professional software required (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook and Publisher).  Proficient in Microsoft Project highly desired.  Possess a valid drivers’ license.
