Responsible for: Performing duties as a metal worker in an aviation environment. Fabricates, repairs, and modifies metallic and nonmetallic parts, utilizing such machines as engine lathes, utility grinders, power cutoff saws, armature, bending brakes, undercutters, arbor and hydraulic presses, drill presses, and their associated attachments, accessories, and tools. Develop training programs, schedule training and document training in an automated training management system. Provide training reports to the Division training officer as required. Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner. Conducts MNG OJT training as required. Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner
B. Independence: Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.

A. Education Level: Civilian High School diploma or equivalent.
B. Experience: Minimum of four (5) years’ experience at the journeyman level machinist with experience with aluminum, steel, stainless steel. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Ten years in aviation back shop or as aviation maintainer desired.
C. Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements: Knowledgeable in working with technical maintenance manuals. Ability to communicate in English. Work safely and an ability to work well with others.
D. Lift and carry 20 kilos
E. Possesses a valid driver’s license
F. US Military or civilian technical trainer experience required. Experience in overseas contracting environments desired.
