Monitor aircraft flow chart with production control and maintenance sections to meet daily, weekly and monthly maintenance planning objectives. Coordinate with maintenance supervisor to ensure that necessary tools, POL and parts are on hand for scheduled inspections. Expedite maintenance and logistics resources when aircraft are in unscheduled maintenance. Track spares consumption and coordinates with logistics regarding the status of spares and equipment.  Review demands list with logistics and maintenance sections and request spares to maintain inventory (PLL) by analyzing the flying hour programs, maintenance schedules, environmental conditions, hardware order/delivery schedules and mean time between failure/overhaul of repair parts

A. Duties/responsibility:

  1. Ensure repair parts, tools, equipment and POL are on hand for schedule and unscheduled maintenance.
  2. Conduct a daily reconciliation with the warehouse and maintenance supervisor to ensure supply status of due in repair parts are correct.
  3. Notify maintenance of repair parts due in that will not meet the maintenance mission
  4. Update logistics report and provide copy to Aviation Logistics prior to production control meeting
  5. Track Time Before Overhaul (TBO) items
  6. Monitor calibration of tools and equipment to ensure items are on hand to meet maintenance requirements
  7. Attend daily PC meeting and be prepared to brief status of aircraft down for maintenance due to lack of logistics resources.
  8. Update production control on NMCS aircraft ESD within one hour of work call daily
  9. Under operational control of the Logistics Supply Chain Manager
  10. Perform duties as the Logistics Technical Inspector for all supply operations; stand in as a maintenance Technical Inspector as required.

B. Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage the logistics technicians to ensure that repair parts are on hand once demanded by the maintenance team. Train and manage OJT as required.


A. Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree and or US Army maintenance and or logistics school trained in the aviation field preferred.


B. Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in aviation maintenance and logistics in support of rotary wing aviation programs preferred. 


C. Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements: Competent with MS Excel based purchasing system. Experience in working with multiple discipline projects. Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office. Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Background screening including previous employment, education.
