  • Overview

    Manages and coordinates the transportation and logistics network for The Directorate of Aviation Training. Performs logistical support functions at the Directorate level. Handles domestic and international transportation requirements in support of the aviation mission. Manages the import/export process and ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign government laws and regulations. Manages the aviation Aircraft On The Ground process. Manages the DAT Logistics Supply Chain Management System. The position will be located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

    A. Duties/responsibilities:

    1. Oversees the aviation logistics supply chain management system. Maintains the Class 9 Warehouse to a level of limited or no Aircrafts-On-Ground and / or zero balance lines.
    2. Analyzes and develops transportation plans that affect budgets, aircraft availability, and inventory as it relates to non-mission capable – due to supply (NMC-S) and operational readiness (OR) rates; creates and review procedures to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.

    B. Independence: Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of Methods. Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and Responsibilities.


    C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises, trains, and directs individuals as assigned to the organization.


    A. Education Level: Secondary school graduate, certificate or equivalent years of relevant experience required; post-secondary education (i.e., Associate’s degree) preferred.


    B. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of broad-based experience in the fields of transportation, logistics, distribution, warehousing, and packaging required.


    C. Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements: Transportation experience outside USA required; US Army logistics/transportation supply chain experience desired.  Certificates: Army Aviation supply/transportation certification or civilian equivalent desired.  Proficient with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Participates in meetings and conferences, as required.  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.  Ability to deal effectively with people in the supervision of students.  Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.  Strong organizational and work management skills.  Possess a valid driver’s license.
