Coordinates and controls the movement of equipment through the transportation network within the Aviation Logistics and Transportation Branch. Handles domestic and international transportation requirements through validation of procedures governed by the Ministry of the National Guard needs and requirements. Responsible for ensuring maintenance and logistics requirements are controlled with the intent of the overall Aviation Logistics and Transportation Branch program and the Ministry of the National Guard. Responsible for developing and maintaining a viable movement control and maintenance activity program; geared towards the enhancement of the operational readiness, as it pertains to the maintenance procedures. Responsible for establishing, evaluating, and improving the maintenance and logistical network process. Responsible for the training on maintenance and material readiness management involving MNG units reporting procedures at the organization, direct, and general support level, production control, calibration, quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC), coordination, and technical assistance. Accustom to handling multiple complex movement tasks simultaneously with the ability to focus on attention to detail without sacrificing accuracy. Develops training plans on maintenance related issues in support of the MNG program.
B. Independence: Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.
C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Coordinates, controls, trains, and directs individuals assigned to the ALTB organization within the framework of maintenance and logistical management.
A. Education Level: Associate’s degree in related field (Required).Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and two years-minimum within a Site/Maintenance Management position (Required).
B. Experience: Extensive years of experience in the fields of movement control and logistical management with working knowledge in aviation. Former commissioned officer or warrant officer (Required). Must be experienced in the aviation repair and return program. (Certification: Unit Maintenance Course – Required) and Environmental Awareness and Hazardous Material Management Course.
C. Specific knowledge, skills, and ability requirements: US Army Aviation logistics / supply chain experience desired. Prior experience with Saudi customs and import / export laws / regulations preferred. US Army service school instructor or civilian equivalent teaching experience for maintenance desired. Served as a QA/QC of the Battle Damaged and Sustainment Maintenance Programs. Certificates: Army Aviation Maintenance Management Systems certification.
D. Proficient with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Participates in training, meetings and conferences, as required. Ability to communicate effectively - both orally and written. Ability to deal effectively with co-workers and people in the supervision of staff. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner. Strong organizational and work management skills. US Citizenship is required. Possess a valid driver’s license.
