Overview

Supervisor section activities devoted automotive systems technician/trainer functions. Provide on the job maintenance training for Contractor and MNG personnel. Repair and fix auto hulls.

A. Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise technicians tasked with the mechanical repair of LAV automotive systems. Applies advanced knowledge of compression ignition engines and related equipment in isolating system faults in diesel powered LAV equipment using a variety of diagnostics equipment.
  2. Identify and submit requirements for repair parts using a variety of US Military and civilian manuals.
  3. Maintain records, prepares and submits required reports.
  4. Perform initial, in-process and final inspections of all jobs in his shop.
  5. Monitors, assigns and supervises shop work flow.
  6. Supervises accountability of LAV tools and equipment.
  7. Maintains service history, stock and schedule for NET vehicles.
  8. Maintains TMDE records of calibration of all equipment.

B. Independence: Acts under the supervision of the Manager, Eastern Region Maintenance Branch.

 

C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Two (2) U.S. Automotive Technicians/Trainers and eight (8) Saudi Automotive Assistance Trainers and (1) Senior Trainer, Auto/Hull.

Qualifications

A. Education Level: High School Graduate. Associates Degree preferred. Military technical training in automotive maintenance and repair. Automotive Maintenance NCO course and or equivalent civilian experience.

 

B. Experience: Five (5) years hands-on experience in automotive repair of LAV or similar Armored Vehicles.

 

C. Specific knowledge, skill, ability, requirement: Troubleshooting of Diesel Engine a must. Ability to get along well in a multinational work force. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
