II. BASIC FUNCTIONS
Manager, Support Operations reports to the Logistics Training Division (LTD) Manager. Multifunctional logistician with
the responsibility to act as the single point of contact for logistics and maintenance oversight and tracking, support
activities, and special projects management. Acts as the Division Manager in his absence.
III. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Principle staff officer and advisor to the LTD Manager concerning maintenance and logistics status and
training, serves as the principal advisor to the LTD in all matters pertaining to logistics training, transition of
logistics functions and Direct Support (DS)/General Support (GS) logistics support operations.
2. Assists the Division Manager in planning, developing, modifying, and managing the execution of
operational plans, policies, and procedures for the LTD Branches.
3. Primary staff liaison for LTD maintenance and logistics status and training with Office of Program
Management (OPM), Ministry of the National Guard (MNG), other divisions within the Directorate of Training
(DOT), and other contractors that interact with LTD logistics activities.
B. Independence: Acts under the general supervision of the Division Manager. Performs within broad objectives
with significant choice of methods.
C. Supervisory Responsibilities: None
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred. Command and General Staff College,
or equivalent, graduate is required; War College, or equivalent, graduate is preferred.
B. Experience: Minimum of ten years management experience as a senior military logistician with emphasis on maintenance and supply management, planning operations and training. Former logistics battalion or brigade commander, O5 / O6 or CW5 preferred.
C. Specific knowledge, skill, abilities: Knowledge of logistics management policies and procedures; knowledge of
training, planning, and development; knowledge of the logistics system; knowledge of management principles and
techniques; highly developed written and oral communication skills are required; must be computer literate and
proficient with Microsoft Office software. Possess a valid U.S driving license.
