  • Overview

    Plans, directs, coordinates, and manages the assistance and training to Ministry of National Guard (MNG) counterparts on the operation, safety, security, and maintenance of KAA Range 24.  Supervises subordinate range operations/maintenance personnel.

    A. Duties/responsibilities:

    1. Supervises subordinate KAA Range 24 personnel with specialties in maintenance, safety, and security.
    2. Assists Chief Supervisor, Range Maintenance and Operations KAA with Range-related operations to include planning, safety, security, and maintenance.
    3. Assists Chief Supervisor, Range Maintenance and Operations KAA with maintaining the overall direction and supervision of the functions required to support the KAA Range Complex.
    4. Performs other mission- or administrative-related duties as required or assigned.
    5. Acts under the general supervision of the Chief Supervisor, Range Maintenance and Operations KAA; performs to a large extent under own responsibility with some choice of methods.

    B. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises subordinate personnel assigned to the KAA Range 24.

    Qualifications

    A. Education Level: High School Degree required. Associates degree preferred. Noncommissioned Officer Senior Leaders Course Graduate preferred. Bradley/LAV/Tank Master Gunner Course graduate required.

     

    B. Experience: A minimum of four years’ experience as Company-level or higher Master Gunner with LAV/Bradley/Tank gunnery experience.  Experienced in the construction of safety fans for direct and indirect fire weapons.  Former senior noncommissioned officer. Master Gunner required.

     

    C. Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Knowledge of policies, principles, and procedures in the operation and maintenance of a firing range complex.  Detailed knowledge of capabilities of a variety of military weapons systems.  Detailed knowledge of all aspects of range safety. Knowledge of supervisory principles and techniques.  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.  Ability to deal effectively with people.  Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Professional Software.
