  • Overview

    Provides technical and management assistance to the Commander, Supply Depot Command (SDC) staff, and subordinate commanders to assist in improving logistics functions and depot operations.  Provides management training and assistance in all areas of Class II, III, IV, VII and IX, less communications, weapons and medical warehouse operations.


    A. Duties/responsibilities:

    1. Provides technical and management assistance to the Commander, SDC and staff in coordinating, planning and execution of daily operation of the Headquarters and Subordinate Commands, Major Items Supply Unit (MISU), Repair Parts Supply Unit (RPSU), General Supply Unit (GSU), Petroleum Supply Unit (PSU) and Subsistence Supply Unit (SSU).
    2. Trains SDC in staff procedures, establishing priorities, management of personnel and equipment, technical guidance in automated logistics and management programs.
    3. Assists the Commander, SDC in developing and implementing warehouse operation plans for 83 warehouses.
    4. Trains storage, inventory control, location maintenance and warehousing relocation as appropriate for changing requirements.
    5. Trains warehouse operations utilizing SANG Supply System (SSS) in accordance with Kingdom Warehouse Law (KWL} and future transition to MNG Automated Logistics Supply System (ALSS) when fielded.
    6. Provides assistance in support of MNG logistics operations and management.
    7. Provides warehouse management sustainment training to MNG Eastern and Western Regions.
    8. Performs other duties as required by the Manager, Supply Operations Branch (SOB).

    B. Independence: Acts under the general supervision of the Manager, SOB. Performs to a large extent under own responsibility and choice of methods.


    C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Three (3) Senior Trainers, and Four (4) Assistant Trainers.



    A. Education Level: Associates Degree required.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred or U.S. military training in automated supply management.  Warrant Officer 920B Supply System Technician or Senior Non-Commissioned Officer 92A – Automated Logistical Specialist and graduate of Senior Level Leaders Course, or logistics management course.  Educational level may be substituted with experience on higher level automated logistics management operations.


    B. Experience: Six (6) years’ experience in U.S. military supply and storage operations, Supply Support Activity (SSA).  Must have experience utilizing automation and management of a military designed supply data base with sufficient experience to facilitate prompt qualification on Automated Logistics Systems with experience in logistics and warehouse management.


    C. Skill, knowledge and Ability: Excellent management, communication, and writing skills, Knowledge of policies, principles and procedures of U.S. military supply systems, warehousing and logistics operations.  Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, and Power Point.
