Responsible for the operations, logistics, and administration of the Battle Staff and Exercise Branch (BSXB). Provides the main administrative conduit to/from higher headquarters as well as with and between subordinate sections of the branch. Responsible for systematic and recurring operations that produce the highest degree of consistency, quality, accuracy, and responsiveness in support of the branch. Works directly for the branch manager in the implementation of his programs and guidance, and with all Section Managers to ensure excellence in service support to all members of the branch. Supervises the administration, human resources, and logistics personnel. Maintains manual and automated management and administrative tools and data necessary to provide timely, accurate reporting and to support the branch manager’s vision, mission, goals, and objectives. Works proactively to mitigate or minimize anticipated problems and issues. Works proactively to resolve all issues related to supply, equipment, infrastructure, real estate, and general resourcing of the branch. Supervises the maintenance of personnel and equipment accountability status within the branch. Assists the branch manager with leave management, counseling, and other administrative functions that affect the personal and professional well-being of individual employees. Coordinates internally and externally as necessary to execute the duties of this position.
B. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises the Branch headquarters: 2 U.S. and 2 Saudi employees, 1 other employee.
A. Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree, preferred. Associates Degree or technical degree required. An equivalent combination of college-level courses, military training, and job site experience may be substituted.
B. Experience: A minimum of three years’ experience in military operations and three years’ of management required, preferably with experience in supply policies and procedures, logistics management and training at battalion level or higher.
C. Specific Knowledge, Skill, Ability, Requirements: Knowledge of logistics and training policies, principles and procedures; knowledge of supervisory principles and management techniques; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to deal effectively with people. Must be computer literate. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software with emphasis on PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio. Experience with project management software preferred. Must possess a valid US driver’s license.
