  • Overview

    Responsible to ensure all Classes of Supply (COS) are properly requisitioned, received, processed and stored within the warehouse according to the stockage plan.  Ensures all COS are inventoried and manage to reduce zero balances conditions in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Oversees the daily supply chain management through the use of Maximo.  Responsible for the reduction of data entry errors in Maximo/EPICOR/G21 and to ensure bi-weekly reconciliation of Purchase Requests (PR) more than 14 calendar days old without a Purchase Order assigned. Reviews PR’s and PO’s over 30, 60 and 90 days in duration to resolve supply chain delays. Oversees the Warranty and Repair and Return programs to ensure these programs are effectively managed and properly reported to Senior Management.  Responsible for providing daily and weekly report updates to the Senior Logistics Manager.

    A. Duties/responsibilities:

    1. Administer supply chain operations, including requisition and inventory of materials as well as supervision of staff.
    2. Make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations; coordinate and resolves issues.
    3. Manage ordering, purchasing, inventory control, and distribution of all Classes of Supply except Class VII (a) and IX (a).
    4. Responsible for the reduction of data entry error rates in Maximo/EPICOR/G21 and error rates on Material Requests sent to Procurement Services Division (PSD).
    5. Must be proficient in managing all Classes of Supply (COS).
    6. Possess operational and functional knowledge of Maximo/EPICOR/G21 as related to Supply and Warehouse Operational functionality.
    7. Utilizes and develops the Storage Plan to ensure available space is utilized in the most efficient manner.
    8. Develops process flows and procedural checklist to ensure materiel request, materiel receipts, receipts and inventories (R&I), outgoing and incoming shipments and other day to day tasks are IAW established procedures and processes.
    9. Communicates efficiently and effectively with other members of the team to ensure knowledge is shared and leveraged for success of the organization.
    10. Perform inventory cycle counts; research missing parts and report any discrepancies. 
    11. Ensures Quality Deficiency Reports (QDR) is provided to vendors when materiel received has quality issues to include but are not limited to: incorrect quantity, nomenclature, allowable substitutions, packaging, documentation and any other notable deficiencies in quality.   
    12. Prepare and maintain required forms, records, correspondence, reports, and files; reviews documentation for accuracy.
    13. Develop Performance Metrics that reflects weekly operational levels of support; provide monthly rollup.
    14. Monitor Repair & Return and Warranty program components to ensure programs are effective managed and reported accurately.
    15. Manage DRMO program for all COS except Class IX.
    16. Ensure that all related parts supply operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
    17. Analyze inventory levels, production speed, and item demand to determine reorder levels to ensure stock availability and minimize inventory costs.
    18. Inspects goods upon delivery to verify delivered goods match order specifications; perform quality control; handle any delivery inconsistencies or delays; quarantine parts that fail inspection.
    19. Analyze and select materials for packaging based on durability and cost effectiveness to include HAZMAT and oversized/overweight items.
    20. Train customer personnel to develop and maintain an effective supply/parts management regime.
    21. Schedules training events; obtain instructional materials; ensures students are kept abreast of training requirements; perform clerical and administrative duties related to training and organizational development.
    22. Must possess or obtain a warehouse forklift license within 90 days of employment.
    23. All other duties as assigned.

    B. Independence: Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.


    C. Supervisory Responsibilities: None



    A. Education Level: Secondary school graduate certificate or equivalent years of relevant experience required; post-secondary education (i.e., Associate’s degree) preferred.


    B. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of broad-based experience in the fields of supply, distribution, warehousing, and packaging required. Former US Army NCO (MOSs 92A, 92Y, 92Z) desired.


    C. Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements: Aviation supply chain experience required; US Army Aviation logistics/supply chain experience desired.  US Army service school instructor or civilian equivalent teaching experience for logistics desired.  Certificates: Army Aviation supply certification or civilian equivalent desired.  Proficient with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Participates in meetings and conferences, as required.  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.  Ability to deal effectively with people in the supervision of students.  Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.  Strong organizational and work management skills.  Possess a valid driver’s license.
