  • Overview

    Responsible for: Environmental compliance of the organization as well as crafting and implementing environmental health and safety programs for employees in the organization. Administer the Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) portion of Supply Chain Management. Ensure compliance with DOD & KSA regulations in regard to environmental compliance.

    A.  Duties/responsibilities:

    1. Maintain 100% accountability of HAZMAT supplies and supply records under his control. Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets for hazardous materials assigned.
    2. Manage the ordering, purchasing, inventory control, and distribution of HAZMAT materials.
    3. Provide input to the forecast planning function using inventory levels and product demand estimate output; work with OEM or authorized repair facility and customers to determine optimal inventory levels based on demand.
    4. Provide input on the development of quality standards and protocols for quality assurance testing; assist in the design and implementation of policies and procedures for HAZMAT.
    5. Direct the performance of inventory cycle counts; ensure all warehouse personnel follow policy and procedures for inventory-handling.
    6. Execute and coordinate Environmental Compliance with the required federal/KSA and local government organizations.
    7. Provide recommendation to the Managerial Staff on HAZMAT handling and disposal.
    8. All other duties as assigned.

    B. Independence: Under general supervision of the Manager, Aviation Logistics Transportation Division.  Performs to a large extent on own responsibility after task assignment with frequent choice of methods.


    C. Supervisory Responsibilities: None



    A. Education Level: High School diploma or equivalent required; Post-secondary education (i.e. Associates Degree) or military training with Aviation Supply background preferred.

    B. Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the field of Quality Control, Hazmat Training Material Coordination, Supply Chain Management. Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response – HAZWOPER certification, Former US Military Aviation 92A, 92Y, 92Z, 2S0X1, 3043, B740 preferred.


    C. Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements: Working knowledge of industrial environmental laws and best practices and ability to read and apply local environmental laws.  Ability to communicate effectively in English.


    D. Other: Able to follow instructions. Lift and carry a minimum of 20 kilos.


    E. Possesses a valid driver’s license.
